A test is a performance. You need to demonstrate what you know and the result matters. Many students experience some nervousness or worry before, during or after a test. This kind of anxiety is normal and can actually be a helpful motivator. However, some students face more intense test-related anxiety that can interfere with functioning and lead to underperformance, even when they know the material or have prepared adequately. These students may have test anxiety, which is a kind of performance anxiety.
Other students do not have test anxiety but are interested in learning mental skills to enhance their test performance.
